River House Lodge

Rowlesburg, WV

The lodge is tucked away in a small town in Cheat Valley, 30 miles south of Morgantown. It brings back to life the River House of the early 1900s when Rowlesburg was a great railroad center. Guests walk into a motif of railroading that once dominated the historic town of Rowlesburg—on the Jones-Imboden Civil War Trail. The town is virtually surrounded by the Cheat River, which is great for boating, whitewater rafting, fishing, and swimming. Rowlesburg stands at the crossroads of two National Byways.
