Weston, WVChildhood friends were drafted into their country's service and only one made it home. A graveside promise was made that'll never let anyone forget you guys. Ron McVaney vowed to keep his promise. He has collected hundreds of pieces of memorabilia over the last thirty-five years. Upon retiring, Ron said "Barbara the time has come to share our memorabilia with the public". With the help of the LCBOE, Lewis County Commission and the public, the Mountaineer Military Museum is a reality.
