10 minutes from downtown Charleston, A 7th generation salt-making family harvests an all-natural salt by hand, from an ancient ocean trapped below the Appalachian Mountains of the Kanawha Valley in West Virginia. Tours for kids age 12 and under as well as school groups are free. Bus tour tickets are $5 per person, and experiential tours are $18.
The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
