Visit the historic one screen theater that dates back to the 1930's. Playing films regularly every weekend as well as hosting special events the Elk Theatre entertains visitors and residents year round. Most weekends the Elk Theatre shows a movie at 7 PM on Friday and Saturday, with a 3 PM matinee on Sundays.

The Elk Theatre often plays host to special events like the West Virginia FILMmakers Festival (the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of October) and the Elk Music Festival. On top of showing new releases the Elk Theatre will also show an old classic from time to time giving movie lovers a chance to see an old favorite on the big screen.

We offer movies, fresh hot buttered popcorn, sodas, water, snacks, various candies, and serve Fresh Roast Papau New Guinea Regular and Colombian Decaf Coffee. WE USE COCONUT POPPING OIL !!! We salt our corn as we pop it - not afterwards. We always have popcorn - even available to non movie-goers! After the film starts, anyone can come in and buy Popcorn!

The Elk Theatre will also rent out it's facilities for special events and parties. Call 304-765-2519 for more information.
