Coal River Kayak and Canoe Rental

Tornado, WV

Coal River Kayak & Canoe Rental is based in the Coal River Watershed that includes the Coal River, Big Coal River and Little Coal river that are within the Walhonde Water trail. These streams are flat water streams with class 1 rapids that are very safe for family float trips.  The float trips are great for fishing, wildlife viewing, beginners and just a relaxing day on the river.

The rental center is located in the CRG River Center which is located in Meadowood Park at Upper Falls of the Coal River in Tornado, WV. All trips originate at the River Center and includes several 6 to 7 mile options, plus one 12-mile adventure trip. Many options are available for specialty trips, overnights, catering, and student paddle lessons.

The group operates a rental and shuttle service too.

Season begins in mid-April and extends through September of each year.

Credit cards, cash and checks are accepted. Advance reservations are recommended.
