Bear Heaven Recreation Area (USDA Forest Service)

Parsons, WV

There are 8 single sites available on a first come, first serve basis. Sites are irregularly spaced with some distance between them. Each campsite has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring, tent pad, and lantern holder. Campsites are suitable for tent camping with vault toilet (no dump station). Rock outcroppings offer unique landscapes. Pets are permitted if on a leash at all times.

From Elkins go east on State Highway 33 for approximately 11 miles, turn left on Forest Road 91 at the top of Shaver's Mountain. Follow Forest Road 91 for approximately 3 miles. Bear Heaven Campground will be on the left.
