This Event is Perfect for Exploring Hip & Historic Charleston

Exploring the state’s hip and historic capital city, Charleston, is always a fun experience thanks to the city’s charming stops and shops. On every third Thursday of the month March through December, discover a new side of Charleston during ArtWalk. ArtWalk is a free self-guided tour of downtown Charleston’s shops, galleries and businesses that feature a variety of art.

Along the way, you can stroll through the many different shops and galleries and find incredible paintings, sculptures, photography and music. ArtWalk is the perfect event to stroll through the beautiful streets of Charleston, discover amazing works of art, catch up with friends and try one of the city’s delicious and unique restaurants.

While at ArtWalk, you can expect a one-of-a-kind line-up of participating venues like the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences, WV Market Gallery, The Art Store, Taylor Books, Rock City Cake Company, Art Emporium, Bear Wood Company, Black Sheep Burritos and Brews and so many more.

ArtWalk was founded in 2002 and continues to be a highlight every third Thursday of the month around the year. Whether you’re a local or a first-time visitor to Charleston, ArtWalk is the perfect chance to discover the city for the first or hundredth time. You never know what beautiful piece of art or new favorite restaurant you might find along the way.
