Come and enjoy two full days of free family fun at the Salute to our Veterans and First Responders Air Show for West Virginia taking place on Saturday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 14. This two-day event will feature aerobatic performers, historic aircraft and fun for those of all ages. As we salute our veterans and first responders, we hope you will join us to witness the dedication, honor the sacrifice, and celebrate our freedoms with other aviation enthusiasts.

This year’s headlining act will be the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team. These professional airshow performers will leave you with your mouth wide open as you witness their tight aerial sequence set to background music. We promise you don’t want to miss them.

Returning this year will be the Champions of the Sky, the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team. This impressive group of demonstrators can land dead center on a target, pass a baton at 120 mph, and they even cut their parachutes on purpose midair!

And airplanes aren’t the only exciting things you will find at the Air Show. Be sure to check out:

• A variety of food available for purchase
• Meet and greet with several veterans and first responders from West Virginia
• Hercules, West Virginia International Yeager Airport’s Wildlife Management Border Collie, and his friends will be on site for photos with their fans

With performances in the sky, several static displays, plenty of food and activities for kids, the Air Show is a perfect weekend activity for families.

Gates open at 10 a.m. and aerial demonstrations run from noon to 4 p.m. both days.
