Climb to New Heights in Almost Heaven

Nelson Rocks, otherwise known as NRocks Outdoor Adventures, takes visitors on guided tours of unique rock formations similar to those found at Seneca Rocks.

Nelson Rocks features the Via Ferrata – Italian for “Iron Road.” The Via Ferrata contains metal rungs that stick out of the rocks along with cables to hook into as you climb. The Via Ferrata found at NRocks was the second to be introduced in the United States, and it is one of only three currently in the country. The rocks are an ideal place to climb, and just like Seneca Rocks, Nelson Rocks were climbed by troops during World War II to prepare for the mountains of Italy.

Today, visitors are invited to climb hundreds of feet up the unique rock formations while partaking on several-hour tours that also include a wooden bridge that spans 150 feet and rises more than 200 feet above the forest. NRocks Outdoor Adventures is the perfect place for adrenaline-seekers of all forms.
