WV Jazz Orchestra Veterans Day Concert

The concert will feature jazz favorites and patriotic music. GVT will honor veterans with a slide show of local veterans photos to be played throughout the performance. Greenbrier Valley Theatre is now accepting photos of veterans to be included in the slide show. Submissions should include name(s) of the veteran(s) pictured, rank and branch of service, and years of service....and may be submitted in person or by mail to GVT, 1038 Washington Street East, Lewisburg WV 24901. Ripley Veterans Day

The famous Clydesdale horses will be leading the Veterans Day Parade at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 in Ripley. The Military Honor March, which includes poster-sized photos of veterans from the Civil War through the current era, is a highlight of the parade. The parade will be followed by a ceremony led by local veteran's organizations at 11 a.m. Former P.O.W. Jessica Lynch is the guest speaker. A patriotic concert will follow from courthouse gazebo.
