Spring STEAM Camp – Session 1: Grades K-2

It’s spring break at the Garden! Join us for hands-on learning and inquiry-based investigations that incorporate science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Campers will build, create, collaborate, solve, and enjoy outdoor exploration at this spectacular time of year. Please pre-register for ALL activities 48 hours in advance at www.wvbg.org. All activities take place at the West Virginia Botanic Garden, 1061 Tyrone Road, Morgantown, WV 26508 unless otherwise noted. Park in the lower parking area. Camps are led by WVBG Education Director Erin Smaldone and WVBG Educator Stacy Clovis-Woofter. See WVBG website camp page for more information and to register. $35 for WVBG members, $45 for non-members. Space is limited, register today! Walks and presentations will last 1.5-2hrs and are free of charge unless otherwise noted. Donations are appreciated and can be made online, or at the kiosk by the lower lot. Please refrain from bringing your pet to activities.

WVU Mountaineer Family Camp

Mountaineer families are one of a kind, so their camps should be too. The kids can bounce from one activity to the next while their WVU alumni parents partake in some adventuring of their own. Because, after all, the family that bikes, hikes, swims, eats and adventures together, selfies together.

WVU Mountaineer Adventure Camp

Mountaineer Adventure Camp is four adrenaline-filled days of pure adventuring – WVU style. It’s all about filling your lungs, testing your limits and seeing just how much fun you can string together in the name of unbridled Mountaineer pride.

Green Bank Star Quest

Our 14th annual OPTICAL and RADIO astronomy "Star Party" July 19th - 22th, 2017 held at the Green Bank Observatory, Green Bank WV. We will have a distinguished keynote speakers EVERY evening, with presentations on the latest in optical &; radio astronomy. We will have a featured prominent speaker for the "Keynote Presentation" Saturday evening. Clinics and additional presentations held daily (indoors) on multiple subjects including Astrophotography. Solar and night-time observing at your campsite. Campground has graveled roads, sanitary stations and a HOT shower facility (close by). We Feature: a Large Raffle Drawing (the 2016 event had 84 prizes), Children's Activities, Cafeteria and Snack Bar, and Vendors on site. The 4-day registration fee is just $100. Limited bunkhouse accommodations for additional fee.

Kids Camp: Everything 18th Century

This two day camp will take the student through the life of young adults to help him or her to better understand daily life on the western Virginia frontier in the 18th century. This two day camp is for 5th-9th grade students Parents must register their child by June 19 and please register early, camp is limited to 40 students.
