Pulp & Plants: Homemade Papermaking

May 9, 2020 @ 1:00 am

When we think of paper, the image that appears is bleached, mass produced, and unrecognizable from the plants that went into making it. This workshop allows participants to recycle and reconnect with the process of paper-making, in an accessible format using familiar materials. Participants will create sheets of recycled-pulp paper, and experiment with inclusions and embedding parts of West Virginia’s native flora. $25 for WVBG members, $35 for non-members.

This workshop is part of our Arts in the Garden series, which is funded through a Community Arts Grant. The Community Arts Grant is made possible through a collaborative effort between YCF and Arts Mon, with funding from the Monongalia County Commission and the Douglas H. Tanner Memorial Fund for the Arts.
