West Virginians Encouraged to Participate in Statewide Bell-Ringing for America’s 250th

Guidelines shared to help participants prepare

Charleston, W.Va. – West Virginians are invited to participate in the statewide bell-ringing scheduled for July 4, 2026 at noon, as part of the state’s commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary. Participation guidelines have now been released to help local leaders prepare for this historic celebration.

As part of the Mountain State’s America250 celebrations, communities across West Virginia are encouraged to ring bells in unity at noon on July 4, 2026, as a tribute to the liberty, freedom, and founding ideals upon which the United States was built.

Bell-Ringing Guidelines

Churches and organizations interested in participating are asked to complete this short online form so the state can create a listing of bell-ringing ceremonies taking place across West Virginia.
