This August, put Bluefield on your to do list as the town holds the Lemonade Festival and the Bluefield Blues Festival on the same day, which makes for a fun day for everyone. The Lemonade Festival is held during the morning and features a lemon hunt, live music, kids’ games and of course, lots and lots of delicious and tangy lemonade. The Bluefield Blues Festival is held in the evening and features live music, beer vendors, food vendors, dancing and much more.
While you’re in Bluefield, immerse yourself in its small-town charm. Take in a Bluefield Blue Jays baseball game, rookie affiliates of the Toronto Blue Jays. Or climb up to the East River Mountain Overlook, which provides beautiful views of Bluefield, the surrounding mountains and makes for the perfect stunning picture. Get a bite to eat at one of the local’s favorite restaurants for a taste of Bluefield like the RailYard, Big Whiskey BBQ Co. and the Blue Spoon Café.
