Visitors encouraged to enjoy a screen-free summer in the Mountain State

Charleston, WV  – The West Virginia Department of Tourism has added five new Almost Heaven swings to the Mountain State: Drawdy Falls in Boone County, Miracle Mountain in McDowell County,  4-H Camp Pioneer in Randolph County, Big Ditch Lake in Webster County and Tater Hill Overlook in Wyoming County.

There are now 41 Almost Heaven photo-op swings available throughout the state, making it easy for travelers to snag a picture-perfect photo during their summer travels. Visitors are encouraged to share their photos on social media using #AlmostHeaven.

“The Almost Heaven swings continue to attract visitors from near and far,” said West Virginia Department of Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby. “I encourage folks to take a break from scrolling and come experience all of the outdoor adventures available here in the Mountain State. Summer is the perfect time to leave the screens behind and reconnect with the ones you love most. There’s no place more beautiful to unplug than in Almost Heaven.”
