The Raid – Minute by Minute | Tales Less Told - July 27, 2024

This presentation will look at the 36 hours of John Brown’s Raid that took place in October 1859. We will dissect the movements of all 21 raiders and John Brown during the course of these storied events; through this presentation, participants will gain a new perspective on the complexity of the raid. As the hours tick away, we’ll start to see the sphere of operation extend far beyond just the engine house that is so often depicted in books, films, and stories.
