Snowshoe Mountain Resort

Snowshoe Mountain Resort is located in the heart of Pocahontas County and has long been a staple of West Virginia winter sports. The resort boasts 41 trails for skiing and snowboarding, seven lifts, and even a snow-tubing park. After spending the day on the slopes, you can make your way to Snowshoe Village for even more fun! Winterplace Ski Resort

Located just between Bluefield and Beckley, Winterplace Ski Resort offers visitors 28 different runs, 9 lifts, and reaches a peak altitude of more than 3,600 feet. Winterplace offers several restaurants like Mountain Mama’s Food Court, The MountainHouse, Mickey’s Mountain Cafe, The Snowdrift Lounge, and Almost Heaven – The Deck at Winterplace. On Saturdays, Winterplace holds a karaoke contest on the Winterplace Stage at the upper level of the resort center!

Canaan Valley Resort State Park

Nestled away in the mountains of Tucker County is Canaan Valley Resort State Park. With a top elevation of 4,280 feet, the resort boasts 39 runs, three chairlifts, and even offers night skiing on Friday and Saturday. The resort is home to the Hickory Dining Room, Laurel Lounge, and Seasons Cafe, as well as a pub and food court for skiers. The resort is also located just a few miles from the towns of Thomas and Davis, both of which boast fine dining and live music.
