Accounts Payable Coordinator

Charleston, WV

The West Virginia Tourism Office is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to assist the Director of Administration.

Sample Duties

  • Receive and track project estimates and media authorizations and create purchase orders
  • Receive and reconcile marketing and advertising invoices against open purchase orders
  • Receive, log, and process payment on invoices for routine operating expenses
  • Reconcile state purchasing card statements for payment
  • Other accounting duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
    • Process employee travel reimbursements
    • Help manage fleet vehicle and related expenses
    • Help maintain record of fixed assets and technology equipment
    • Work with Director of Administration to process grant reimbursements
    • Support Director of Administration with accounting work as needed
    • Complete other basic administrative tasks ask needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Organized, detail-oriented and excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures
  • Ability to take ownership over projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and independently
  • Flexible with changing priorities
  • Ability to travel occasionally for conferences and seminars
  • Proficiency in wvOASIS or similar enterprise accounting software preferred
  • Experience and/or interest in learning new data tools and software
  • Proficient in in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The successful candidate will a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or a related field. This position is located at the capitol in Charleston and works full-time, regular business hours. Competitive pay and benefits. Some travel required.
