Biking the North Bend Rail Trail
#6: Ultimate Outdoor Throwdown
The North Bend Rail Trail, part of the 5,500 mile coast-to-coast American Discovery Trail, is a scenic ride for any skill level.
It passes through parks, farmland and small communities with history dating back to the 1800s. Stop along the way at attractions like the Old Stone House, sites of train robberies and historic glass factories.
You’ll also pass through 13 tunnels and cross 36 pastoral bridges, which add to the charm of the ride.
The entire stretch runs 72 miles from Parkersburg to Wolf Summit, but there are several easy access points along the route if you want a shorter trip.
