Wild, Wonderful West Virginia Seeks Nominations for 2016 Stars of the Industry Awards

CHARLESTON, West Virginia (August 13, 2016) – Wild, Wonderful West Virginia seeks nominations for the 2016 Stars of the Industry Awards. Winners will be recognized at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism: #MyWV: Sharing Real Stories, September 25-28 at Canaan Valley Resort and Conference Center, Davis.

“The Stars of the Industry Awards recognize the wonderful work our travel and tourism industry partners are doing to promote and share the Real. West Virginia stories that make the Mountain State such a desirable place to visit,” Commissioner of Tourism Amy Shuler Goodwin said. “I encourage you to nominate those folks that work hard to ensure that #MyWV moments and memories are created for each and every visitor when they visit Wild, Wonderful West Virginia.”

Nominations are being sought for the following Marketing / Public Relations Categories: Advertising Campaign, Marketing/Public Relations Campaign, (NEW) Digital Campaign, (NEW) Social Media Campaign, (NEW) Visitors Guide, Print Article, Print/Photography Layout and Website, in addition to the following Industry Recognition Categories: Spirit of West Virginia Award, Mountain State Award, West Virginia Tourism Professional of the Year Award and West Virginia Tourism Oshel Craigo Lifetime Achievement Award.
