Winter Trees Walk – Bark, Buds & Branches

February 1 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Break through your winter dormancy and learn about the subtle features of the winter trees with our Winter Trees Walk – “Bark, Buds & Branches.”

Learn Winter Tree Identification from Ken Beezley and Maple Tapping from Will Lewis.

Join us for easy walks in the YMC Forest. Go out on a limb and learn about the secret lives of winter trees.

You will be joining us at the Yew Mountain Center, a 500-acre Botanical Sanctuary. Our mission is to provide programs that explore Appalachian ecology, culture, and the arts while promoting personal and community wellness.

This is a family-friendly event, and all ages are welcome! At the Winter Trees Walk, connect with nature and a community who loves learning and outdoors experiences.

Suggested onsite donation: $10. We appreciate every gift of any size.
Registration on our website prior to the event is appreciated but not required.

The event will be mostly outdoors, but our lodge will be available for warm-up breaks and hot beverages.
