Railfan Weekend at the Elkhorn Inn

The RailStream.net “railcam” on the Elkhorn Inn balcony broadcasts the Norfolk Southern “Pocahontas” trains that pass the inn 24/7 around the world! Additionally, the Railfan Weekend will include special guest Michael Kisser of RailStream.net, so you’re sure to learn something new.

The Railfan Weekend is a couples’ getaway, with a special”Railfan Weekend” Package for two. The package includes two nights’ lodging at the Inn, Continental Breakfast each morning, and two, special “Dinner In the Dining Car” Chef Dan Dinners on Friday and Saturday evening. One dinner will be from an original Pocahontas Railroad Dining Car Menu from the 1950s, and one dinner will be three courses from Jame’s Porterfield’s cookbooks “Dining By Rail” and “From the Dining Car”.

Additionally, dinners only may be reserved for $55.00 + tax per person. In addition to the railcam, the Elkhorn Inn provides an ATCS Scanner and Monitor for our railfan guests, and a library of railroad books and publications, as well as rail-view guest rooms, covered front porch, and balcony.
