Mythic Realms Convention

Mythic Realms is a three-day, multi-genre festival, held this year on Memorial Day weekend, that blends the immersive escapism of a fantasy convention with the experiential atmosphere of a summer festival. Across indoor and outdoor spaces at the former Alderson Broaddus University (“Battlers Knob”), attendees explore:

Live-Action Roleplay Zones: Foam‑weapon battles and narrative-driven quests in the outdoor areas of the campus.

Vendor Marketplace: artists, crafters, authors, game makers, and specialty merchants offering everything from original artwork and hand‑forged designs to homebrew TTRPG accessories.

Interactive Panels & Presentations: Daily sessions on topics ranging from world‑building to star-gazing. Hosted by locally-loved authors, engineers, and content creators.

Art Gallery & Installations: A curated exhibit space showcasing a fantastical theme from the iNFAMOUS Art Collective, featuring mixed‑media pieces, immersive sculptures, and collaborative installations.

Live Music & Evening Events: Daytime performances by regional bands across genres from indie‑folk to ambient metal, evening dances including The Rift Before the Revel, and a formal Cryptid Masquerade Ball.

Game Center: Open‑play tables for board games, card games, miniature wargaming, and TTRPG one‑shots hosted by local groups.
