The West Virginia Humanities Council’s History Alive! program features scholars from around the state who portray historical figures at venues including museums, schools, libraries, community centers, and fairs and festivals. The West Virginia Humanities Council is a nonprofit organization governed by its board of directors. Our mission is to promote a vigorous program in the humanities statewide in West Virginia.
