Bring the outdoors inside by building your own terrarium (a container of plants, soil, and rocks) at the Schrader Center in Oglebay.
We’ll re-use plastic bottles to create our terrariums and explore the forest to gather the items we need from nature. Your handmade terrarium will make a beautiful addition to your living space!
Available 10-10:45am Wednesdays, June 9 through August 18. (Does not meet July 7.) All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
$5 per person. Free for OI members or those with activity wristbands.
Explore nature as a family…
Replace your child’s screen time with green time! Our family nature programs bring families together for quality time learning about nature. So, get outside and explore! Activities ignite children’s interests in science and nature. Children socialize with other kids outside of a traditional classroom setting. They have a lot of fun, too. And parents meet and connect with other parents. Most of all, our programs instill a lifelong appreciation and respect for the natural world.
