Design Coordinator
The West Virginia Department of Tourism is seeking a Design Coordinator to work with the Marketing & Public Relations team. Sample duties and responsibilities include:
Design Coordinator
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce graphics and layouts combining text concepts and imagery that are visually appealing and on-brand
- Projects may include digital and print advertisements, promotional materials, flyers, brochures, posters, forms, logo design and more
- Transform statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams making complex ideas more visually appealing
- Assist in photography retouching
- Produce drafts for review and make revisions based on the feedback received
- Design and produce brand multimedia content and perform media edits when necessary
- Duties require exceptional communication, creativity, organization, time management and attention to detail
- Design and manage advertisements for our Cooperative Advertising Program
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Creative/artistic abilities, ability to design within branding guidelines and produce multiple delivery formats (pdf, eps, png, etc.)
- Knowledge of design production for digital and print materials
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Knowledge of design hierarchy, brand aesthetic and production of engaging design that can be used across multiple platforms
- Proficient in Google Suite products or equivalent
- Ability to multitask in a fast pace environment
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-year experience in design, marketing, advertising, purchasing or a related field. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in design, advertising, marketing or a related field is required.
Preference will be given to candidates who also have experience in multimedia design.
The position will report to the Director of Creative & Brand Strategies. The job is located at the capitol in Charleston, WV and works full-time regular business hours. Competitive pay and benefits.
